Privatization Is Better Isn't it?
Okay, I'll begin this by saying a few things about me to help you better understand...1.I am very bad at making friends because Im extremely frank with people and very quiet except with family or my little " clan"2.I have moved twice, and just moved to a new " small town" *The South* 3 years ago.3.This isn't a fact about me but...there will be a few questions to answer in this.Alright, I moved here to a EXTREMELY small town three years ago.Its like living in the 1950s, no joke.Seriously though, everyone here is a double-sided sword, not to mention they are ALL related somehow.I am extremely shy, and although i knew the drill because I had moved twice before, when they stood me in front of the room of strangers and said " This is our new student", I just nodded instead of talking.Seeing to that this is a small town, and Im sure they've never seen a real one, (not to mention they're all really stupid) the next thing i knew there were rumors going around that I was emo.The rest of that year and most of the next I was alone, and lonely.It isn't lame if you think about it, you would have been too.However, at the end of the next year I met someone I liked a lot.She seemed awesome and we acted almost the same.We have the same humor, interests, and level of slight perverted-ness (XD) Anyway, we soon became inseparable friends.However this year we shared a b-day party on Halloween.She decided to go TRICK OR TREATING...I haven't done that since I was 10! Not to mention she looked 17 in what she was wearing! So I got a little mad...then later on my mom pulled me aside and said that they had " double-dipped" all the way down our street and PUSHED LITTLE KIDS OUT OF THEIR WAY! When I talked to her about this she got mad and was all like " Well its legal to trick or treat until you're 18!" So soon enough we got into a huge screaming fight.While we were fighting, she lied several times.Now I see her differently.There's an awkward air between us now, and I don't like her near as much as I used to.I now realize she lies half the time, and manipulates me a lot.THEN she will tell me how im her best friend...I don't know what to do.Right now Im just focusing on getting closer to my other friends, but she still hangs around me.I don't want to stop being her friend completely, I still like her when she isn't lying, but I cant stand her manipulating me anymore! Im still mad at myself for not noticing before that she did that.The real problem lies with the fact that, even though im not trying to be her friend anymore, she still hangs around me.I don't know if she wants to be my friend, or if she is just using me...but she has nothing to gain from using me so I don't get this at all.We both make the same grades, she competes with me constantly, she always has to one-up me (even if it comes to lying) and it aggravates the hell out of me! so I doubt she really wants to be my friend, but im really UNpopular, and my family isn't rich, so what could she want from me?
