Ben Bernanke Is Time's 2009 Person of the Year -- Politics Daily
Time magazine has named Ben Bernanke its 2009 Person of the Year. The magazine said the Federal Reserve chairman's foresight and success at preventing.

Do you agree with TIME magazine's 2009 Person of the Year?

Ben Bernanke was named Time Mag Person of the Year, so who should be Jerk of the Year?
Ron Paul: " Ben Bernanke is the most powerful man in the world because he controls the supply of money, which is the dollar, which is the reserve currency of the world. He can create a trillion dollar in secret without any monitoring by the Congress. So there's no transparency and I think he is more powerful than the President. The big question is, has he used that power for good, or for evil? And of course, my side of the argument is, the system is evil, and the chairman, whether it's Greenspan or Bernanke, they can do no good. They cause our troubles, they cause the inflation, they cause the bubbles. And therefore the bust, the correction, is always their fault." I love it.I think he is right. We play these political games and talk about lending standards, CEO bonuses, etc.All of these problems come from the federal reserve. They have all the power, and they have friends on Wall Street. They are not part of the government, and the government has no idea what they are doing.Everybody is scared to mess with these guys. What is Bernanke so scared of with auditing the fed? Does he have dead bodies under his desk or something? Every large institution get's audited, why are they so special? I'm not saying let Congress control the money, that would be a horrible idea.I'm just saying audit them. They don't even have to make the audit public, but there has to be some accountability.PFO you are missing the point. The Fed has no say in bank bonuses, but it is crazy to ignore the root cause of the problems, and try to blame CEO's of banks. The problem with a secret system that causes problems, is you have to blame somebody. The reason we had a housing bubble and Wall Street guys making too much money, is because of the fed. They control everything, so punishing the bank CEO'S is pointless.

What do others think about this statement from Ron Paul?
If not, who would you like to have seen for Time's person of the year, and why? Thanks for your thoughts & opinions!

Do you agree with Time's choice of Ben Bernanke as Person of the Year?
The Chinese Worker! Really? The accompanying photo is a bunch of women and this caption:" By the millions, they leave their families to work in faraway factories and stoke the world's fastest-growing economy." Really, this is the ideal that we are supposed to emulate, women abandoning their families by the millions to work in a factory? Women, does this inspire you? And will this inspire you to buy " Time" magazine? http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/0,28757,1946375,00.html

Vladmir Putin, Ben Bernanke: is Time Magazine relevant in your view?
Any disgust??? I know the Conservative opinion on him is...yeah...lol

huh...so Ben Bernanke is the 2009 Time Person of the Year.Your thoughts?
As you all know, Ben Bernanke won Time's 2009 Person of the Year award. The article basically states that, yeah the economy is awful, but if it wasn't for Bernanke, it could have been much worse. So, with that in mind, I was wondering if I could be Time's Person of the Year for 2010.I know that if I'm not alive in 2010, aliens will invade the earth and kill 2 billion people and enslave the rest.Obviously, I know I have no way to quantify this, but Time doesn't care about what you actually DO, but what you MAYBE prevent. So do I have a shot?

Do I have a shot at being Time's 2010 Person of the Year?
